As the days grow colder and the holidays approach, the Franciscan Center is reaching out to our friends in the community to help us provide warm clothing, toiletries and other essential items to the men, women and children who come to our door seeking help.
Your faith community, school, office or family can make an important difference in our community in the days ahead by collecting warm coats, hats, scarves, gloves, socks and other critical items for the Franciscan Center. We’re launching our 2017 Holiday Giving Tree Project, and we ask that you consider helping to make it a great success.
Our Holiday Giving Tree Project supplies essential winter clothing such as hats, coats, scarves, mittens, thermal underwear and socks, as well as personal toiletry items to those in need. Items for children and babies such as diapers, baby food and formula, small jackets, mittens, and knitted hats are in especially short supply. We ask that you collect new, unwrapped items for the men, women and children whom we serve at the Franciscan Center, which we will distribute throughout the holiday season and into the coldest months this winter.
Items may be dropped off at the Franciscan Center, 101 W. 23rd Street, Baltimore, MD 21218, from Dec. 4 through 8 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Depending on your location, we may be able to pick up your items. If you would like to donate before or after these dates, please call us to make arrangements.
