The Franciscan Center serves a hot, healthy evening meal at the Center every Wednesday from 5:30-7 p.m. The Community Dinners are free and open to the public. Every week, we are looking for volunteers to help set up, serve food, greet guests and clean up.
Group Volunteer Opportunities
We invite individuals and groups to take part in the Franciscan Center’s Community Dinner program, and help serve a hot, nutritious evening meal to poor and hungry men, women and children of Baltimore.
Our Community Dinner is designed to to reach the working poor, who are at their jobs during the day when most area soup kitchens are serving. For many of these men and women and their families, this evening meal will be their main – or perhaps even their only – meal of the day.
